Training Course Assessment
All Copperline’s Training Courses are assessed in line with NQF criteria.
Copperline’s philosophy regarding assessment is that all assessment should:
- Contribute to the creation of value (results) for the organisation.
- Protect learner interests (NQF)
- Contribute to the development of a co-operative culture (relationships)
Different organisations have different assessment needs. These assessment needs are determined by:
- Operational structures and time availability
- Level of management involvement in the assessment process
- Company Assessment Process
For assessment to work we have found it impractical to impose a rigid assessment procedure on organisations. Instead, we realise that assessment is only as powerful as the buy-in and commitment it receives from those involved. Consequently we prefer to work with our clients in determing a relevant assessment strategy. Two options are usually available:
1. Training Room Assessment (non-credit bearing)
Is always included in our training programmes with well defined line management involvement.
2. Formal Assessment
For organisations that require full learner competency assessments. This enables learners to apply for NQF credits against unit standards. A portfolio of evidence is completed by the learner in the workplace and in the training room. Learners are assessed against the unit standards selected by the client and the assessment process is determined in consultation with the client.
Copperline will gladly assist in guiding you towards an assessment strategy that fulfils your operational and learner requirements.
All Copperline’s training programmes are unit standard aligned and quality assured.
