Course Overview:
A 1-day workshop which enables Consultation Committee members to work together effectively with all stakeholders of the organization to ensure a constructive Employment Equity consultation process. After the programme, participants should be able to:
- Develop a common understanding of the business and moral reasons underpinning the Employment Equity Act and the related key concepts
- Understand the implications of the Employment Equity Act for Consultation Committees and the key functions and responsibilities of Consultation Committees
- Provide a meaningful contribution as members of a committee, through the understanding of essential skills required for consultation and meeting processes
- Consult constructively with all staff on the drawing up and implementation of Employment Equity plans
