A one-day workshop to assist leaders and managers to understand emotional intelligence, its importance, and how to create a more emotionally competent team.
Management Development Programme (Long-Term)
This intensive programme is run over a 4 to 12-month period, with spaced sessions once every month or two. Participants will learn how to manage, motivate, direct and lead staff and teams. Participants will learn to solve performance problems at individual and team levels, and improve motivation through goal-directed management and communication techniques. Training is outcomes-based, with individual job requirements identified through the extensive use of problem-solving, assignments and skills practice throughout the programme. The programme content and duration is customised to meet learners’ and the company’s needs through the use of extensive pre-training and post-training assessments.
Effective Performance Management
Legislation and sound business practice require that businesses have formal and objective systems and processes to manage staff effectively. Performance Management is a system and process that links the organisation’s goals and strategies to individual and team performance, so as to increase organisational effectiveness.
Facilitation Skills
A two-day, practically applied training programme enabling trainers and facilitators to plan, put together and execute successful training presentations, and effectively facilitate learning experiences in groups. Skills are applied by participants throughout the programme through extensive practice and audio-visual feedback.
Chairing and Running Meetings
Meetings form a crucial part of an organisation’s day-to-day operations, yet often become the biggest time-waster for the people involved. This one-day workshop helps participants to ensure that meetings are directed and efficient, reaching set objectives and achieving executable action.
Competency-Based Recruitment and Selection
This workshop provides a thorough overview of how to recruit staff according to business requirements and job specifications, within the scope of applicable South African legislation. Participants will learn how to draw up competency-based job specifications and interviewing questions, rate candidates in a panel and interview and select the right person for the job. Through the use of role-play techniques, skills are practised throughout the programme to ensure application in individual settings.
Management Development Programme; Supervisory Skills and Team Leadership
A practical 2 or 3-day programme, where participants learn how to manage, motivate, direct and lead staff and teams. Participants will learn to solve performance problems at individual and team levels, and improve motivation through goal-directed management and communication techniques. Training is outcomes-based, with individual job requirements identified through the extensive use of problem-solving and skills practice throughout the programme. The programme content and duration is customised to meet learners’ needs, following the completion of an individual Training Needs Analysis.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills
A highly interactive and practical training programme the teaches participants to analyse, understand and solve problems, and make decisions. This programme is conducted on-site (in-house) only, as typical work scenarios and problems are analysed within the group, to allow the programme to be applied practically.
